Air-Glaciers
Air Glaciers operates a helicopter service on the Saanen airfield. It offer flights from here to places that are difficult to access. It serves such destinations as construction sites, forestry, agricultural and mountain huts – quickly and at a reasonable price. In winter, a helicopter flies guests to heli-skiing experiences on snow-covered mountain peaks with magnificent descents. Air Glaciers uses controlled avalanche explosions to ensure safety on the ski slopes. A second helicopter is reserved throughout the day exclusively for rescue flights. Air Glaciers provides a taxi service and sightseeing flights throughout the whole year. Unique views of the mountain world in the heart of the Swiss Alps beckon. Experienced flying instructors are available for training flights taking off from Saanen. Other bases are located in Lauterbrunnen, Gampel, La Chaux-de-Fonds, Leysin and Collombey, whilst the main base is in Sion. Air traffic safety is of the utmost importance to the seven full-time members of staff and numerous freelancers at Air Glaciers Saanen.
